Emma’s Poetry Corner: Brutus (spoiler warning)

Hi guys! I’m Emma and I write poetry. My job is to write for your enjoyment! Suggestions or ideas are all up to you (meaning please give them!) Here’s a short one for the first post (inspired by TFIOS trailer!) but WARNING SPOILERS:

“The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars

but in ourselves.”

That’s what Shakespeare said.

But what did he mean? That it’s all your fault?

I blame the stars for taking you away.

We were both damaged with no hope

but somehow, you managed

to give me a forever within numbered days.

I blame the stars for taking you away,

But I also thank them for giving me

you

and all the time we had

our little infinity.
